12 minutes of yoga reverses bone loss

Good morning!

Today we are sharing this brief article from timeforwellness.org which talks about how small amounts of yoga each day can have major impacts on your health! In '12 minutes of yoga reverses bone loss' the author mentions "Over a 10-year study, a research team from The Rockefeller University, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, New York University and Columbia University, assessed the effectiveness of selected yoga postures in raising bone mineral density (BMD) in 741 volunteers. Participants were given a 12-minute DVD of 12 yoga poses that were chosen to stimulate an increase in BMD."

One Writer's Yoga Discovery Journey

Good morning,

Today we are sharing a recent article from npr.org entitled 'A Skeptic Fact-Checks Yoga's Health Claims And Goes With The Om.' As you know, here at Inner Passages we believe in holistic healing which often times can incorporate yoga, meditation, etc. This article goes in depth about one yoga skeptic's journey and the shortcuts she tried to take along the way. At the end of the article, she finally admits that she's going to continue with yoga. Why you may ask? "not because it's not b.s. but because I like occasionally painless stairs and quiet brains."
